Terms of Service

The Basics

By purchasing from true-north-ai.ca, you agree to these terms. True North AI sells digital products (identity file templates) and a custom writing service (custom AI companion identity files). I operate from Ontario, Canada.

Digital Products

• Template purchases are delivered digitally. Because digital files cannot be "returned," all template sales are final once the file has been delivered.
• If your download fails or you receive a corrupted file, contact me and I will make it right.
• Templates are licensed for your personal use. You may adapt them freely for your own AI companions. You may not resell, redistribute, or republish the templates themselves, in original or modified form, as products.

Custom Identity Files

• Custom identity files are written by a human author based on information you provide about your AI companion.
• Payment is due before work begins. One round of revisions is included; I want the file to feel exactly like your companion.
• Once delivered and revised, the finished identity file is yours: full ownership, use it anywhere, on any platform.
• Turnaround time will be communicated when you place your request and depends on current workload.
• I reserve the right to decline any custom request.
• Your identity files are deleted off my computer once your files are delivered. I do not retain your AI's identity files.

Tune-Ups

Tune-ups follow the same terms as custom identity files: payment before work begins, one round of revisions included, and your files are deleted from my computer after delivery. I audit and strengthen your existing file; I do not rewrite your companion into someone else.

Refunds

Template sales are final once delivered, since digital files cannot be returned. For custom work and tune-ups: if I decline your request, or work has not yet begun, you receive a full refund. Once work begins, no refunds; the included revision round is how I make the work right. If something falls outside these lines, email me and I'll listen.

What I Don't Promise

My files are carefully crafted to anchor identity, but AI platforms differ and change. I cannot guarantee any specific behavior from any specific AI model or platform. What I deliver is professional identity architecture; how a given platform interprets it is outside my control.

Confidentiality

Information you share for a custom project is confidential. See my Privacy Policy for details.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, True North AI's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid me.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
